Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA) CEO Carolyn Frohmader for and on behalf of Disabled People’s Organisations Australia (DPO) and the National Women’s Alliances, including AWAVA, has prepared this Position Paper on the Status of Women and Girls with Disability in Australia. The paper covers the current status of women and girls with disability under the 12 critical thematic areas of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
Each section of the Paper includes relevant recommendations to Australia from the human rights monitoring bodies of the international human rights treaties to which Australia is a party.
