AWAVA has made a submission to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection in response to the public consultation on visa simplification.
Our submission aims to answer the consultation question of needed considerations when simplifying the visa system namely retaining, improving and extending family violence provisions. We aim to provide an analysis of the current state of family violence provisions and point to the areas that need to be considered regardless of the future form of the visa system.
