“Women identified as having a “disability” experience violence and abuse at a much higher rate than the rest of the population. This training is for workers who are currently working in the family violence or disability sectors. The objectives of the training are to gain a better understanding of the context and experience of women with disabilities who experience violence; explore best practice responses in relation to risk assessment and safety planning; and share strategies that will prepare your agency to better respond to the needs of women with disabilities.
