Get your fingers at the ready, your high-powered Twitter followers on board and join the global tweet-a-thon to get #endvaw trending tomorrow on International Women’s Day 2013.  Friday 8 March 2013 is the day that the power of the Twitter-sphere will unite globally to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.

How you can make a difference without even leaving your seat!

AWAVA wants to raise the profile of violence against women and girls, and make it a topic of discussion in households around Australia and the world. We know that the brighter we can shine a spotlight on this epidemic that affects 1 in 3 women globally, the more action our communities and governments will take to end it, which will make a real difference in the lives of women and girls who are victims and survivors of gender-based violence.  It’s our aim to raise awareness and get the conversation started by reaching out to the millions in the Twitter-sphere and other social media, and letting people know that violence against women must end.

We want #endvaw to be a  ‘trending topic’ – where millions of people access information and join the conversations on this issue.

This is where we need your help:
