Tina Dixson has worked in the area of LGBTIQ, refugee and women’s rights both in Australia and overseas. Tina has a solid experience working with the United Nations bodies, having done the shadow report on the human rights violations of LBT women and undertaken a gender audit of the Global Compact for Refugees in UNHCR. Tina is also a Doctoral Candidate writing a thesis about lived experiences of queer refugee women in Australia.
Merrindahl has worked as a community organiser, researcher, policy advocate and activist for women’s liberation and empowerment. She has also been involved in organisations focused on justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, poverty, community services and young people. Originally from Tasmania, Merrindahl now lives in Canberra with her young family.
