Merrindahl has worked as a community organiser, researcher, policy advocate and activist for women’s liberation and empowerment. She has also been involved in organisations focused on justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, poverty, community services and young people. Originally from Tasmania, Merrindahl now lives in Canberra with her young family.
Anahita is currently studying undergraduate Law/Development Studies at the Australian National University. In her time at university, she has been involved with a number of community and women’s organisations, including ANU Circle for Gender Equity, Women’s Legal Centre ACT and Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services, ACT.
